Sandra Bryan the RILSA delegate at this years Ladies Day in Sheffield was delighted to be selected and represent us and Ireland over the two days at the Crucible and in the Cue Zone.
Sandra helped out with promoting the ladies sport of snooker at the winter gardens across from the Crucible.
This was a fantastic opportunity for Sandra to see at first hand how the Cue Zone works and also to meet and chat with people from all over the World.
Ladies day at the Cue Zone is a very important platform for the women’s sport and should be encouraged more and hopefully we will see more of this type of promotions and exposure at other WPBSA events in the future.
The women’s sport of snooker has a long way to go in order to get the recognition it rightfully deserves and we can help make it happen, with supporting and helping any initiative that encourages more women and girls into the sport, thus creating a new culture and environment that will bring it into equal status as that of the men’s.
We in RILSA are delighted that Sandra enjoyed her time in Sheffield and played a very important part in promoting ladies snooker.
