The Kilbarrack youth project in North Dublin took a full size snooker recently and joined Stars Academy Ireland. Dan Carroll gave the young players from the Project an introduction to the sport in Joeys Snooker club during the week and they really enjoyed their day out. The Project has 80 members of all ages and does great work in the community. Lee Cummins and Niall Coughlan two of the Project leaders are encouraging the members to take up the sport of snooker. Snooker contributes to the positive growth of young people and Dan gave a talk on the importance of the psychology within the game. We will see some of these young players come through the project and participate in competition in the months ahead.
We in Stars Academy Ireland welcome all the new members from the Kilbarrack Youth Project and we hope that they enjoy their snooker for many years to come.
